Alejandro Sintura Castro, (2000) lives and works in Bogotá, Colombia. He graduated with honors in 2024 from Javeriana University in Bogotá, Colombia. He has participated in numerous international group exhibitions, including Galleri Magnus Karlsson in Sweden, Gallery Monti 8 in Italy, Warbling Collective in the United Kingdom, SGR Gallery in Colombia, and SN MaCarena in Colombia, as well as solo exhibitions at Nueveochenta Gallery in Colombia, SGR Gallery in Colombia, and SN Macarena in Colombia.

His work is deeply rooted in painting, his primary medium. Alejandro's images exist in a state of openness and possibility. Even though they are figurative, the subjects in his paintings appear as if they are just beginning to take shape, configuring themselves in a state akin to presentment. His paintings are evocative rather than descriptive, navigating the boundaries between the hidden and the visible, the empty and the full.

For Alejandro, painting possesses an evocative dimension and is in constant dialogue with itself; references to other painters, whether living or deceased, are always present in his work. Contemplating and embracing the possibilities residing in the simplest subjects is fundamental to his process. The complexity of his work lies in the images that emerge from them and the way light makes them appear to observers.
