Hibisco “Flor Del Beso”, 2023

Margarita Gutiérrez, artist from Bogotá, Colombia, has participated in a multitude of artistic endeavors, including twenty solo exhibitions and numerous group exhibitions across various prestigious venues such as "Desde el Jardín" at SN maCarena, Bogotá, in 2018, and showcases at prestigious galleries such as Galería Diners. Her work’s themes, garden and nature, are postmodern concepts that arise from a lifestyle consistent with her generation. From her passion for the garden, she explores the shapes of plants, leaves, flowers, seeds, etc., which she constructs as geometric shapes. Margarita is one of the main exponents of abstract art in Colombia.

Gutiérrez's work has traversed borders, with exhibitions in Korweiler, Germany, and La Galería in Quito, Ecuador, among others. Gutiérrez's artistic contributions have been celebrated through the Mención de Honor at the Concurso Latinoamericano de Pintura "Energía y Vida" in Santiago, Chile, in 2001. Her works grace the collections of esteemed institutions such as the Museo de Arte Moderno, Bogotá, and the Biblioteca Luís Ángel Arango, Bogotá, among others, underscoring her lasting impact on the cultural landscape.
