Exhibit – Testigos Volumen II

Concordia collaborates with the Colombian Consulate of New York to present Testigos: Volume II, a solo exhibition by Colombian painter Alex De La Torre. This exhibit juxtaposes two of De la Torre’s most recognized series “Sinestesia” and “Amazonia,” exploring Caribbean iconography as well as personal childhood memories. Known for his impressive hyperrealist technique, de la Torre creates pieces that are derived from a combination of mental and photographic imagery. 

His works often revisit the same objects, presenting them in various formats and exploring the depth of their significance through vibrant compositions and use of color. Each piece evokes the vivid sensations of being on the Caribbean coast of Barranquilla, Colombia, immersing viewers in the unique atmosphere and spirit of the region. This is De La Torre’s second solo exhibit in New York, underscoring his acclaim for detailed and emotive artwork.
