Katia Miranda

Katia Miranda was born in El Salvador and currently lives and works in Guatemala City.
The objective of her works and installations is to produce questions around everyday objects,
transported to a visual language working with materials such as polymers and other derivatives of plastic.
She has participated in major exhibitions and contemporary art installations, individual and collective in the main museums and galleries of Central America, other exhibitions in Colombia, Mexico, Italy, Austria, Dubai and Germany.
During her 13 years of artistic career, she has exhibited more than 10 times individually, of which highlights include: Diptych Art Studio: Panama, Mycol Art: Barranquilla, El Attico, Guatemala, Rozas-Botrán Foundation, Guatemala, Museo Casa Santo Domingo: Antigua Guatemala, Alianza Francesa, Guatemala. Her work belongs to several public collections such as Imago Mundi-Luciano Benetton Collection, Treviso University of the Istmo-Rozas Botrán Museum (MURB), Guatemala Sigma Collection, San Salvador, El Salvador.
