Juan Rodríguez Varón’s work explores the intricate relationships of space, tension, and form through painting. His practice focuses on elements such as the scale of monochromatic fields, the repetition of gestures, and the interplay of lines and light.

Rodríguez Varón earned an MFA from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp (2019–2020), where he received the prestigious MFA Painting Award. He also holds a BFA from Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá (2007–2012).
